Ultrasound

Ultrasound is a type of imaging that uses high-frequency sound waves to examine the internal structure of the body, such as the organs. Ultrasound technology can be used to examine organs and blood-vessels, and, during pregnancy, is used to view the fetus as it grows within the body. Because of this, ultrasound is extremely helpful in the diagnosis and treatment of many different conditions, injuries, and more.

Unlike other imaging technology, such as X-rays, ultrasound technology does not expose the body to radiation.
